What you would need for a successful virtual visit:
- Fully charged smartphone, tablet, or computer with a strong WiFi connection or cell signal
- Make sure to turn on your camera so that the ostomy nurse can view your stoma during your virtual visit
- Keep ostomy supplies that you currently use for pouch changes near you for the appointment
- Clothes that are easy to arrange so that the nurse can view your stoma and surrounding skin
- Several minutes before your scheduled visit, Empty your pouch. DO NOT remove it
