Not a me+ member yet?
I had moderate to severe Crohn's disease for 25+ years which ended up with me getting the surgery to have an ileostomy. Mine was not an emergency, but my specialist let me know that the scar tissue in my colon was concerning and may make it difficult to detect any colon cancer in the future. I also was in severe pain every day, so the option was to have the surgery. Not an easy one, but I had to do it.
How did you feel before having stoma surgery?
